Everything here helps you build three things
Knowing what to do and doing it are different
Many people already know what they “should” do. The hard part is turning it into something that happens on a busy day. So we start by designing the action: make it small, make it easy, and attach it to something you already do.
When I [something I already do], I will [one small action].
- When I add an appointment to my calendar, I will write one question.
- When I sit down to eat dinner, I will take one slow breath.
- When I brush my teeth at night, I will notice one effort I made today.
- Start SmallPick one small action.
- Make It EasyRemove a barrier.
- Attach ItLink it to a routine.
- Do ItTry the action.
- Celebrate ItNotice your effort.
- Build ItGrow it when ready.
Module 1 introduces your first ViberStep. Module 2 helps you practice and adapt the method.

ViberSteps draws on Dr. BJ Fogg’s Behavior Model, which describes three things coming together at the same moment: Motivation, Ability, and a Prompt (often written B=MAP). It is a model, not an arithmetic equation. In practice, ask yourself three questions:
- Motivation Do I want to do this? Motivation rises and falls, and that’s normal.
- Ability Is it easy enough? If it feels too hard, don’t try harder. Make it smaller.
- Prompt What reminds me at the right moment? A routine you already do works well.
Routines can become easier with practice, but there is no fixed timeline, and everyone is different. Recognizing your effort, in whatever way feels comfortable, helps you notice progress.

Life is busy. The door stays open.
“Every person deserves to live with dignity, hope, and the knowledge that their health is within their reach, regardless of their zip code, their income, or their circumstances.”The HealthViber Wellness Team
Living in Control was born in community centers, churches, and barbershops, from nearly two decades of working with people too often overlooked by the healthcare system. We saw good people struggle, not from lack of desire, but from lack of tools and education made for their lives.

We saw people receive a diagnosis and leave the clinic confused and afraid. We saw people skip medicines because no one explained why they were prescribed. We saw families pass down habits, not out of neglect, but because no one had shown them another way.
So we asked: what if we built something with clear guidance, written so anyone can understand it, offered in the places people already trust?
That question became Living in Control. When a grandmother learns to read a food label, that knowledge can reach her children and grandchildren.
Before you begin
- This supports your regular healthcare. Follow the plan your care team gave you. Don’t stop or change medicines because of a lesson.
- There is no failing here. Every step counts. A hard week is information, not a setback.
- Your information. You do not need to enter health numbers to use these lessons. Before you save a note or send a question, we explain where it goes and who can see it.
- Getting support. Select Get help in a lesson to contact HealthViber. Support hours and expected response times are shown there. Messages are not monitored for emergencies. In an emergency, call 911.
You don’t have to change everything at once.
Start with one manageable step.
One habit. One step. One choice at a time.
